About the WCA
Mission Statement
To provide the training and support necessary to ensure members maintain a competitive edge through the maintenance and development of the knowledge and technical skills required to service and restore mechanical and electronic clocks and watches.
Membership
The Watch and Clockmakers of Australia has approx. 450 members working throughout Australia with branches in all mainland states.
Meetings
Meetings are conducted in all state capital cities and some regional centres.
Publication
The WCA publishes "The Watchmakers of Australia" magazine, six times per year.
Affiliations
The WCA provides a link between it members, manufacturers, their agents and other industry associations throughout the world. Local affiliations iinclude the Australian Jewellers Association, The Timepiece Council, Sydney Clockmakers Society, the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC) and the Powerhouse Museum (Sydney).
Service Standards
Established Service Standards provide members with guidance on acceptable standards of workmanship and customer service.
The Service Standards also provide information to customers on the detail of service procedures.

- Recommendations to assist customers to find a repairer the appropriate expertise for their particular timepiece.
- Appraisals and technical advice on unusual or specialist timepieces.
- Service Standards for customer protection and advice.
